Champagne & Sparkling Wines

The perlage is the set of carbon dioxide bubbles produced by a sparkling wine or champagne when the bottle is uncorked and the wine poured into the glass: the fineness and quality of the perlage are elements for assessing the value of the product.

My passion for Italian sparkling wines and French Champagnes is so total that I called my wine blog Perlage Suite. While education for aspiring sommeliers and wine lovers is the main focus of this website, I also want to give you the broadest possible overview of the extraordinary world of bubbles... obviously interpreted according to my personal taste! 😎
