Grape varieties: my column

On this page you will find my (very schematic) notes with what - in my opinion - are the essential notions to know for each vine variety. This is a project I had started in 2018 and have taken up again today, in August 2022, with the ambitious goal of creating the most comprehensive, clear and concise catalogue of wine grape varieties. Well, given the number of these it will take a long time... so I decided to start with the 'famous' 52 vines in Chapter 3 of my book Sommelier: the illustrated manual! 😄
