Tomorrow begins GourmArte, the Fair at Bergamo which 26-28 November 2016 invites us on a journey to discover gourmet delicacies from all over Italy, especially those of the Christmas season. The beauty of this initiative lies in being able to stroll through the various regions, from Lombardy to Emilia Romagna, from Tuscany to Apulia, from Calabria to Sicily, and meet the producers of the gourmet delights directly and get to know their stories. So first of all I would like to thank Daniel of Lorenzo farmstead for the invitation (by the way, have you seen his new website? It is my latest work as a winery web designervisit it now by clicking HERE!), and then I can't wait to discover new winemakers and sit down at the table of great chefs of the calibre of Chicco and Bobo Cerea (Ristorante Da Vittorio, Brusaporto - BG *** Michelin), Roberto Conti (Trussardi alla Scala, Milan * Michelin), Ilario Vinciguerra (Ilario Vinciguerra Restaurant, Gallarate - MI * Michelin), Philippè Leveillè (Miranti l'altro, Concesio - BS ** Michelin), Claudio Sadler (Sadler, Milan ** Michelin), Riccardo Camanini (Lido 84, Gardone Riviera - BS * Michelin) and Vittorio Fusari (Pont de Ferr, Milan * Michelin) to taste their culinary masterpieces while sipping a careful selection of wines from the Franciacorta, Lugana and Valtellina Consortia guided by the professionalism of my fellow Sommeliers AIS Lombardia.

Journalist and critic Elio Ghisalberti, as well as the creator of GurmArte, has selected Italian food and wine excellences for free tasting for all visitors. Some previews? Caviar made in Brescia, Piedmontese ox tartare, Biitto del Roccolo Valtaleggio, extra virgin olive oil from the Lombard lakes to Puglia, salami from Cremona and 'nduja from Calabria... and much more!

And for those who love to drink well? From Franciacorta to Moscato d'Asti, from Sforzato di Valtellina to Chianti Classico, from Moscato di Scanzo to Passito di Pantelleria... and the 2017 AIS Vitae Guide will be presented (Sunday 27 November at 16:30) and the 2017 'I vini d'Italia' Guide by Espresso (Sunday 27 November at 11:30) and the 2017 'I vini di Veronelli' Gold Guide by the Seminario Veronelli (Monday 28 November at 15:30).

Ah, if you want to give some Christmas presents, there is a food shop with all the delicacies you have tasted on your journey through the GourmArte stands!

Told like that, I can't wait to go there... but I'll give you a rundown of my experience in the next few days 🙂 🙂 I'm looking forward to it.

For those who pre-purchase their tickets online, the €10 price includes the tasting of the excellence brought to the stage by producers identified in the categories of Masters, Custodians and Explorers of Taste according to the ethics and philosophy of their respective companies.

See you in GourmArte 2016,

Chiara
