Il Nebbiolo it is certainly one of the vines that I love most and among the Piedmont wine tasting certainly those organized by Go Wine are my favorites. First of all they have the right size to taste all the wines in 2-3 hours, then the quality offered is always very high. Known as the grape variety of Barolo DOCG,Nebbiolo grapes it also gives enthusiasts splendid expressions in Upper Piedmont. I personally believe that the Nebbiolo wine has always suffered a little from the popularity of the Barolo and Barbaresco, so these tasting counters are welcome, capable of making it shine in front of an audience of Ho.Re.Ca. operators. and passionate. For this time, therefore, I will not tell you about Langhe Nebbiolo, but about other fascinating denominations such as Bramaterra DOC, Coste della Sesia DOC, Lumassina DOC, Ghemme DOC and Gattinara DOC.
Il Nebbiolo vine it owes its name either to the abundant bloom that covers its berries, so much so that it appears clouded or to the late harvest which coincides with the first autumn harvests. Between Piedmontese vines Nebbiolo is the one that has a more heterogeneous population due to frequent mutations. The Nebbiolo grapes they are all characterized by a great sensitivity to powdery mildew, a somewhat erratic production and very specific cultivation needs. Given that it is rather sensitive to temperature changes and a lover of hilly and almost mountainous locations with good sunshine, in Northern Piedmont it finds an ideal habitat to create a nebbiolo wine exceptional.
